Making a bowl

The power hammer makes it possible to meld different types of metal together into a single unit. The concept for the sculptural bowls grew out of the varied pieces of metal inevitably found around the forge.   The hot metal is then dished into its final shape.

The combination of different metals, varied degrees of heat treatment and custom finishes, results in an endless variety of unique bowls.
