The
fly press is a simple screw-press driven by the
power of the inclined plane. Rotating the
weighted handle exerts a constant yet powerful
force to the working surface.
This
solid 2" x 4" bar is being bent across its width - a very
difficult technique. The use of custom tooling
allows the blacksmith to create unique yet
near-identical shapes.
