Forging
Tools
|
| Simple
and unchanged for centuries, the anvil is the blacksmith's
workbench. A variety of stakes, fullers and hardies are stored
around the base. These are inserted in a square hardy hole
in the anvil to perform a variety of forging techniques. |

Even
in the 21st century, hand tools and the anvil are the most indispensable
tools of the trade. In this rack are many of the tools
used at the forge - many of them handmade. |
