to be made is the decorative cap that covers the
bottom of the chandelier and the escutcheon plate
which mounts the unit to the ceiling and covers the
electrical box . After the initial shape
is cut out, the decorative cap is heated in the forge and carefully
shaped

plate is two pieces of plate steel join face to face
and dished - first in the fly press then trued when
still red hot. The plate has a threaded hole in
the center for the vine-wrapped pendant.
