While Frank began work on the
chandelier frames, Jeff and Mario went to work forging
the vines that would entwine the pendent of the
chandeliers. The series of photos below follows
the creation of a vine. |

Each leaf is welded to
the stem then carefully ground smooth |
Vines ready to wrap |
| To wrap the
vines the pendant is attached to the floor and
ceiling of the shop. It is a heat and pull
process after that. |

After an initial weld
at the top, the heating and bending begins. |
The right amount of
heat must be applied to the right spot. |

Finishing touches at
the bottom. |
The vines are
sandblasted. |

After coating with an
industrial primer a top coat of satin black is
applied. |
Hand rubbing with a
silver coating brings out the hand-forged highlights. |
